Promethean Particles is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Ryder and Scott Priest as Technical Scientists at the Company.

Prior to joining Promethean, Rebecca was a research scientist at INOVYN, a subsidiary of global chemical company INEOS, where she worked in the research and development department of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) additives. Drawing upon her prior industrial experience, Rebecca is now also Promethean’s Health and Safety Coordinator, where she has taken on responsibility of health and safety matters relating to the Company’s research and development team. Rebecca holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from The University of Liverpool.

Scott joins Promethean whilst finalising his EngD from the Chemical Engineering department at The University of Nottingham, which was sponsored by Promethean. As part of our ongoing programme of educational sponsorship for selected students, Scott’s project focused on the continuous-flow synthesis and optimisation of metal-organic frameworks (“MOFs”) for carbon capture applications.

James Stephenson, Chief Executive Officer of Promethean, commented: “I look forward to welcoming Rebecca and Scott to the Promethean team. Attracting bright new talent is critical for Promethean’s future success and is aligned with helping support our rapid growth plans. Rebecca brings some valuable industrial experience and it is great to see our continued investment in doctoral students result in a full-time position with us.”
