Promethean Particles is pleased to announce the appointment of Leah Matsinha as Senior Technical Scientist.
Leah joined Promethean’s R&D team as a Senior Technical Scientist in 2024. She is an experienced synthetic chemist in the field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and has led projects in both academia and industry, with applications including catalysis, CO2 activation, and CO2 capture & sequestration. Before Promethean, she worked as part of the R&D team at Concrete4Change, and also held research and academic positions at the University of South Wales (Glmaorgan) and the University of Johannesburg, respectively. Leah holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cape Town. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society’s Future Leaders: African Independent Researcher (FLAIR) programme.
“We are delighted that Leah has joined Promethean, bringing a wealth of experience to our growing team,” said Paul Kirkman, R&D Manager of Promethean. “Our work with MOFs continues to accelerate at great pace and we are only just scratching the surface of how our technology can unleash the power of this incredible class of materials. I am looking forward to seeing how Leah can help us deliver even more.”
