Georgia Rowe
Synthetic Chemist

Georgia joined Promethean’s R&D team as a Synthetic Chemist in March 2025. So far, her career in chemistry has spanned industry and academia in the UK and abroad. While studying for an MChem in Chemistry at the University of Lincoln, she completed a year in industry with the Lubrizol Corporation in Manchester developing UV-curable paint formulations and completed a project at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague working on layered metal hydroxides for catalysis.
Following this, Georgia went on to achieve her PhD at the University of Birmingham funded by the Faraday Institution, where her research focused on developing MOFs for next-generation lithium-sulfur batteries. During her PhD, she strengthened her research skills through a collaboration and placement with the University of Technology in Dresden. Additionally, she gained unique insight into energy policy through a placement at the House of Commons Library as an Energy Advisor.
